Navel Orange Salad with Avocado

Navel Orange Salad with Avocado combines crisp baby greens, juicy orange slices, creamy avocado, and sharp red onion with a tangy vinaigrette. This combination creates a refreshing salad featuring contrasting textures and flavors, balancing sweetness, acidity, and creaminess. It makes an appealing side or light main when fresh and simply dressed.

Description

The Navel Orange Salad starts with arranging mixed baby greens as a base, offering mild freshness and crispness. Thinly sliced navel oranges bring bright citrus sweetness, while rich avocado slices add buttery texture. Red onion contributes a sharp crunch and depth. The salad components are seasoned with salt and pepper to enhance the ingredients' natural flavors.

A vinaigrette made from fresh orange juice and zest, red wine vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper ties the elements together. The dressing can be lightly whisked and served alongside or drizzled over the salad just before serving, ensuring the greens remain crisp.

Appropriate for a light lunch or as a side dish, this salad offers a harmonious blend of fruity, creamy, and tangy elements in a simple presentation that highlights its fresh ingredients.
