Ninja Air Fryer Frozen Hamburgers
Description
The recipe for Ninja Air Fryer Frozen Hamburgers centers on cooking frozen burger patties directly in the air fryer basket at 350°F. Flipping the patties midway ensures even heat distribution and better texture. Seasonings, like a preferred burger blend or simply salt and pepper, are applied after flipping to enhance the taste. The patties are cooked until reaching at least 160°F internally, confirming doneness and food safety.
The cooked burgers can then be assembled on buns with optional cheese slices and favorite condiments or toppings, suiting various preferences. The straightforward technique relies on the air fryer's ability to cook frozen foods with a slight crisp on the outside while maintaining juicy centers.
Key practical considerations include not overcrowding the basket to ensure proper air flow and cooking, accommodating varying patty sizes and thicknesses which affect cooking time, typically between 10 to 15 minutes total. Using aluminum foil or baking paper at the bottom of the basket can prevent smoking during cooking. Nutritional information applies to patties only and can vary based on additional toppings.
Leftover cooked patties can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for 5-6 months, wrapped securely. Melted cheese can be added by placing a slice on the patties halfway through the cooking process. Variations in seasoning and toppings allow tailoring the burgers to different diets or tastes.
Ingredients
- 4 hamburger patties frozen
- 1 tablespoon burger seasoning
Instructions
- Place the frozen hamburger patties in a single layer in the basket. I was able to fit 1 pattie in my Ninja foodi, but the number you can fit will depend on the size of your air fryer you are using.
- Air fry the frozen hamburgers at 350°F/ 176°C for 7 minutes, flip, then season with your favorite seasonings. Flipping helps them cook evenly so do not skip this step. Cook for a further 7 minutes until done (an internal read thermometer inserted on the thickest part of the burgers should read at least 160°F).
- Once cooked, remove the hamburgers using a spatula and place them on buns. Top with cheese (if you prefer), and your favorite sauces, and toppings. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Place hamburger patties in a single layer to cook evenly; avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
- Adjust cooking time based on patty thickness; thicker patties need longer cooking to reach 160°F internally.
- Season patties after flipping to enhance flavor without burning the seasoning.
- Use foil or baking paper at the bottom of the basket to prevent smoke during cooking.
- Wrap and store leftover cooked patties in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze them for 5-6 months.
- Add cheese slices halfway through cooking if melted cheese is desired on the burgers.
- Choose seasonings and toppings compatible with specific dietary needs like keto, gluten-free, or paleo as preferred.
