Ninja Grilled Steaks

Ninja Grilled Steaks are cooked in an air fryer, using high temperature for a seared exterior and butter basted flavor. Steaks like New York Strip, filet mignon, or ribeye are seasoned and cooked quickly with pats of butter melting over top, then rested to finish in residual heat, resulting in a juicy and flavorful steak with a slight crust.

Description

Steaks are first brought to room temperature and patted dry for optimal searing. They’re drizzled with oil and seasoned well before cooking. The Ninja air fryer is preheated at maximum temperature to ensure a hot environment which helps achieve a quick sear and caramelization. Four minutes per side are recommended, each side topped with small pats of butter which melt and baste the steak during cooking.

After the cooking time, the air fryer is turned off but the steaks remain inside for three minutes to use residual heat for gentle finishing. This yields a steak cooked through yet retaining juiciness. Carryover cooking is balanced with a final rest outside the air fryer for five minutes before slicing or serving.

The method uses common cuts like strip, ribeye, or filet and relies on high heat and butter for flavor and moist texture. Timing and checking doneness are essential for preferred steak temperature.

  7. Turn the machine off and let the steaks cook in the residual heat without opening for 3 minutes.
  8. Check steak temperature - see tips and tricks section above for doneness temperatures. Remove and let rest if done, if you'd like it to gain a little more, leave in air fryer longer.
  9. Let steaks rest on a plate for five minutes after removing from air fryer before slicing or serving.
