No-Bake Protein Energy Balls
Description
This recipe offers chocolate peanut butter and almond joy protein energy balls, both made by mixing rolled oats with a nut butter base (peanut or almond), honey, chocolate protein powder, and cocoa powder for chocolate flavor. Vanilla or almond extract adds aroma, while chocolate chips provide bursts of chocolate texture.
The almond joy variation enhances the texture by adding toasted coconut flakes and sliced almonds. The mixture can be processed finely or left more textured depending on preference.
Once combined, the batter is rolled into balls and chilled to set, making them easy to store and portable as quick energy bites. They can be kept covered in a container or bag to retain moisture.
To toast coconut flakes, bake them briefly at 325°F until golden but watch carefully to prevent burning.
