Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 cup butter melted, unsalted
  • 1 ½ cups light brown sugar packed
  • 2 egg large
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract pure
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup Nutella hazelnut spread
  • Ice cream Nutella, and sprinkles, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter with brown sugar with a whisk. Add in eggs and vanilla extract. With a wooden spoon, add salt, flour, and baking powder. Mix just until combined. Press batter into bottom of prepared baking dish.
  3. Spread Nutella on top of batter, in about 4 lines, using a knife to make swirls.
  4. Bake for about 38-42 minutes, remove from oven and cool.
  5. To serve, enjoy as a bar, or make a decadent treat by warming it up and topping it with ice cream, melted Nutella and sprinkles!

Notes

  • Store in airtight container. I prefer these the second day, I think the flavor is more intense and the blondie is chewier!
  • I prefer the taste of these blondies the second day. They get chewier with a more intense flavor.
  • Warm up leftover blondies in the microwave for a few seconds. Then add a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. My Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream is my favorite! I also have a no-churn ice creamif you don’t have an ice cream maker.
  • Melt Nutella in the microwave. Drizzle it over the ice cream. For the final step, add some sprinkles too. Because, why not?!
