Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad

Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad blends al dente elbow macaroni with diced red and green bell peppers, red onion, dill pickles, and chopped hard-boiled eggs. Tossed in a dressing made of mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, yellow mustard, salt, and pepper, it delivers a creamy, tangy flavor well-suited as a chilled side dish.

Description

This Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad features cooked elbow macaroni mixed with a combination of diced bell peppers, finely diced red onion, dill pickles, and chopped hard-boiled eggs, introducing a variety of textures from crunchy to tender. The dressing blends mayonnaise with apple cider vinegar and yellow mustard, accented with salt and pepper, yielding a creamy yet slightly tangy coating that binds the ingredients together.

The salad is chilled for at least an hour to allow flavors to meld and for the salad to cool thoroughly. Its creamy texture balanced by crisp vegetables and pickles makes it a classic accompaniment to grilled or picnic dishes.

This salad is best served cold and can be stored covered in the refrigerator to maintain freshness and prevent drying out.
