One-Pot Homemade Sloppy Joes

This One-Pot Homemade Sloppy Joes recipe combines ground beef with sautéed vegetables and mushrooms simmered in condensed tomato soup and seasoned with garlic powder, salt, and pepper for a hearty sloppy joe mix. Served on toasted buns with melted cheddar cheese, it offers a warm, comforting sandwich perfect for casual meals.

Description

The recipe starts with browning ground beef in a deep skillet, then adding chopped onion, green pepper, celery, and canned mushrooms. These ingredients are cooked until tender, then mixed with condensed tomato soup and spices for a rich, savory sauce. The mixture simmers to meld flavors and thicken the filling.

Hamburger buns (or brioche) are toasted with cheese melted on top, creating a soft, cheesy contrast to the flavorful sloppy joe filling. The saucy beef mixture is spooned onto the buns, making handheld sandwiches that combine meaty, tangy, and slightly sweet notes.

The sandwich can be complemented by sides like pickles and potato chips for a classic casual meal. The method's simplicity and one-pot approach streamline preparation and cleanup.
