One Skillet Creamy Bacon and Broccoli Pork Chops

These creamy bacon and broccoli pork chops are pan seared to perfection and smothered in an amazing bacon cream sauce. This one-skillet pork chop meal is ready in about 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 4 lices Bacon cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ½ cup chicken broth low-sodium
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup cream or one cup almond milk
  • 2 cups broccoli fresh or frozen, florets
  • 1 cup baby bella mushrooms sliced, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • lemon optional to serve, wedges

Instructions

  1. Pat pork chops dry and season with salt, pepper, and olive oil on both sides. 
  2. Cook bacon cut into bite-size pieces in a skillet over medium-high heat; cook until crispy and remove onto a plate with a slotted spoon. Reserve about 1 tbsp of the rendered bacon fat in the skillet and discard the rest.
  3. Place pork chops into skillet and cook over medium heat until browned on both sides (4-5 minutes per side) Set aside covered on a plate.
  4. Add in a tbsp of butter to the pan and sprinkle the flour in, stirring about 30 seconds. Whisk in chicken broth, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in cream and return bacon crumbles to the pan. 
  5. Add in broccoli and mushrooms and cook 6-8 minutes, or just until tender. 
  6. Return the pork chops to the pan and nestle in with broccoli and mushrooms. Slice pork chops for serving, if desired.
  7. Garnish with lemon wedges, if desired.
