Onion Grilled Pork Chop Recipe
Description
This recipe starts by combining onion soup mix with water, lemon juice, vegetable oil, ketchup, and low sodium soy sauce to create a marinade that imparts tangy, savory, and slightly sweet notes to the pork chops. The boneless chops are marinated for a minimum of one hour up to 24 hours for intensified flavor.
The chops are grilled over medium-high heat, approximately 350°F, for about 10-12 minutes per side, depending on thickness and grill temperature. A meat thermometer can be used to confirm they reach the recommended internal temperature of 145°F for safe consumption. Spraying the grill grates with cooking spray beforehand prevents sticking and promotes even browning.
After grilling, chops should rest for 10 minutes to permit juices to settle, ensuring moist, tender meat when sliced. The recipe allows for flexibility with marinade ingredients and timing based on preference and schedule.
Ingredients
- 4-6 pork chops boneless
- 1 onion soup mix
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- Use a meat thermometer to check chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F for safe, juicy results.
- Rest grilled pork chops for 10 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
