Orange and Lime Cranberry Sauce

Fresh cranberries are so flavorful and combined with the zesty orange and limes, this cranberry sauce is so delicious!

Ingredients

  • ¾ pound cranberries fresh
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • cup water
  • 2 clove whole
  • 1 teaspoon lime grated zest
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest grated
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice fresh-squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice fresh-squeezed
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Add the cranberries, brown sugar, water, and cloves to a medium saucepan. Over medium heat bring the mixture to a simmer.
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberry skins burst and the mixture becomes syrupy, about 10 minutes
  3. Stir in the lime zest, orange zest, lime juice, and orange juice, and season with salt to taste.
  4. Remove the cloves, and let the cranberry sauce cool to room temperature before serving. Garnish with extra orange zest for presentation.
