Orange Infused Water Recipe

Bright citrusy orange aromas make this flavored water one of my favorites. You can now also simply infuse your boring water with some zing. Here is how!

Servings

To Clean the Orange: (recommendation)

  • water
  • 1 Teaspoon vinegar or Citric Acid

For the Infused Water

  • 1 orange
  • 1 quart water fresh
  • Ice cubes optional

Instructions

To Clean the Orange (recommendation)

  1. Clean the orange from dirt and possible unknown pesticides. Place the orange in a bowl and cover with fresh water.
  2. Add vinegar or citric acid to the water and mix it in.
  3. Leave orange to soak for a minute or two. Brush the orange with a soft bristle vegetable brush in the acid water to get rid of dirt and leftover pesticides.

For the Infused Water

  1. Cut off the orange ends. Cut the orange into quarters and then into thick slices.
  2. Place orange slices into a clean bottle. Top up with water.
  3. Place your bottle into the fridge and leave to infuse.
  4. You can start drinking your water after 2 hours, but the longer you leave it to infuse in a day, the better.
  5. You have the option to serve your orange infused water with ice cubes as a cool summer drink.

Notes
