Oreo Brownies
Description
These Oreo Brownies start with a basic brownie batter made from melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, blended with unsweetened cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Half of the Oreo cookies, broken into quarters, are folded into the batter to add chewy, crunchy bites dispersed throughout.
The batter is spread into a greased 9x13 inch pan, and the remaining Oreo quarters are scattered on top before baking at 350°F. Baking for 28 to 30 minutes yields brownies with a dense but moist crumb, with the Oreos providing a cream-filled crunch contrasting with the rich chocolate.
The result is a decadent bar that marries the familiar brownie texture with the distinct taste and creaminess of the Oreos. These brownies suit dessert occasions where combining chocolate with cookies adds interest.
