Oreo Cheesecake Brownie Bars
Description
This dessert starts with a boxed brownie mix prepared and poured into a parchment-lined pan. Oreo cookies are pressed lightly into the brownie batter before baking. After a partial bake, a smooth cheesecake layer made from cream cheese, sugar, sour cream, egg, and vanilla is spread evenly over the top and baked again until set. Once cooled, a ganache made by melting chocolate chips with heavy cream is poured over the bars to add a glossy chocolate layer.
The brownie base provides a dense and rich chocolate foundation, softened with embedded Oreo cookies that add crunch and creaminess. The cheesecake layer offers tang and smoothness contrasting the fudgy brownie. The ganache adds shine and a final layer of chocolate richness, making the bars a multi-textured dessert.
These bars are suitable for slicing into portions for parties or desserts, offering a combination of familiar flavors and contrasting textures. Cooling time after baking ensures the cheesecake is firm before ganache application.
