Oreo Cheesecake Cookies

Oreo Cheesecake Cookies blend cream cheese and butter for a rich, tender cookie dough studded with chopped Oreo cookies. The combination creates soft, creamy cookies with the distinct chocolate and cream flavor of Oreos dispersed throughout. Chilling the dough before baking helps maintain shape and texture. These cookies bake to a lightly golden exterior and soft center.

Description

These cookies use a base of cream cheese and unsalted butter creamed with sugar and vanilla extract, creating a rich, smooth dough. Incorporating salt and flour balances sweetness and provides structure. The distinctive feature is the 12 crushed Oreo cookies mixed into the dough in pieces, providing bursts of chocolaty crunch within the soft cookie. Chilling the dough for an hour firms it, preventing excessive spreading during baking.

Baked at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, the cookies come out with lightly crisp edges and tender centers that showcase the cheesecake-like texture from the cream cheese. They are convenient to scoop and portion using a cookie scoop for even baking.

No extra notes were provided, but chilling dough and using crushed Oreos instead of crumbs contribute to the distinct texture and flavor each bite offers.
