Oreo White Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
Description
The pie starts with a deep-dish unbaked pie shell filled with a mixture of eggs, flour, granulated and brown sugars, vanilla, softened butter, white chocolate chips, and finely crushed Oreo crumbs. The eggs provide structure while sugars and butter contribute moistness and richness. Mixing in generous Oreo crumbs integrates their chocolate flavor throughout the filling.
Quartered Oreo pieces are pressed on the surface before baking for a textured, chocolatey topping. Baking at 325°F for about an hour allows the custardy filling to set with a slightly crisp, browned top. The pie resembles cookie dough in texture but holds its shape when sliced.
This dessert is indulgent and pairs well with simple accompaniments like whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. It requires no special preparation and stands out due to the use of both white chocolate and Oreos in a pie form.
Ingredients
- 1 pie shell unbaked 9-inch deep-dish
- 2 egg large
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup butter , softened (1 1/2 sticks)
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup oreo cookie crumbs
- 8 Oreo cookies quartered
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325° F.
- Beat the eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy.
- Add in the flour, Oreo crumbs, brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla.
- Beat in butter until combined.
- Stir in the white chocolate chips.
- Put mixture into pie shell and even the mixture out in the shell.
- Put the quartered Oreos on top of the pie and push them in about halfway.
- Bake for 60 minutes.
- You can insert a knife or toothpick but just be aware melted chocolate will get all over it.
- If the top looks browned and crisp after the timer goes off I would say you are good to go.
Notes
- Use a 9-inch deep-dish pie shell for best results with this recipe size.
- Press quartered Oreo cookies halfway into the filling surface for texture contrast.
- Insert a toothpick carefully to test doneness, aware melted white chocolate may stick to it.
- Let the pie cool completely before slicing to allow filling to set fully.
