Our Favorite Ham Sandwich
Description
Our Favorite Ham Sandwich features sliced rye or grain bread lightly toasted and spread with a honey mustard sauce blending mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey for subtle sweetness and tang. The sandwich is assembled with Swiss or marble cheese slices and deli or leftover ham, layered alongside ripe tomato slices and crisp lettuce leaves.
The bread provides a firm base with a toasty exterior, while the cheese and ham offer savory richness and smoothness. Fresh tomato and lettuce add moisture and crunch, balancing the sandwich. The honey mustard adds a creamy, mildly sweet note that complements the saltiness of the ham.
This sandwich is suited as a straightforward lunch or casual meal. Cutting it in half makes it easier to handle and serve.
