Oven Baked Chicken Strips Recipe

This recipe produces oven-baked chicken strips coated in a seasoned bread crumb mixture featuring paprika and sesame seeds. The chicken pieces are first dredged in flour, dipped in egg, then coated with the bread crumbs before baking until crisp and golden. Baking at a high temperature for short bursts allows for juicy chicken with a crunchy crust without deep frying.

Description

Oven Baked Chicken Strips Recipe uses chicken breast or tenders cut into ¾-inch pieces and coated in flour, egg, then a bread crumb mix seasoned with paprika, sesame seeds, and salt. They are arranged on parchment or greased foil and baked in a 425 °F oven. Baking for 10 minutes on each side creates a crisp, golden-brown exterior while keeping the inside tender and cooked through.

The bread crumb coating combined with paprika and sesame seeds gives a textured surface with a mild smoky and nutty flavor. The chicken cooks quickly with a juicy center and a nicely crisped coating during the two 10-minute baking intervals. Olive oil dripped on top before the second bake is optional and can encourage browning.

These chicken strips can be served with a sauce of choice, alongside french fries, wrapped in a tortilla, or paired with salad. The oven method offers a less oily alternative to frying while still delivering a crisp breaded finish.
