Pan Fried Pineapple
Description
Fresh pineapple is cored and cut into small, uniform pieces to ensure even cooking. The pieces are mixed with light brown sugar and cinnamon to coat evenly, infusing them with sweetness and a subtle spicy aroma. Butter is heated in a skillet over medium heat, and the pineapple is arranged in a single layer for pan-frying. Cooking for 2 to 3 minutes per side allows the sugar to caramelize and the pineapple to develop a golden exterior with tender flesh inside.
The result is a warm, slightly caramelized pineapple with a balance of sweet and spiced flavors. The dish can complement savory meals as a side or serve as a simple dessert when paired with vanilla ice cream. The recipe notes storing leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days, preserving the flavors and texture.
