Pan Fried Potatoes

Pan Fried Potatoes combines partially boiled cubed potatoes with spices like paprika and chubritsa, then sautés them with onions and prosciutto for a flavorful and textured side dish. The initial boiling softens the potatoes while the pan-frying creates a golden, crispy exterior. The addition of prosciutto or cooked bacon brings a savory, meaty element that complements the tender potatoes and aromatic onions.

Description

This recipe starts by boiling peeled, cubed potatoes until just tender, which ensures they cook fully without breaking apart during frying. After draining, the potatoes are seasoned with a mix of chubritsa, Himalayan pink salt, paprika, and freshly ground black pepper, which gives a balanced herb and spice flavor profile.

The pan frying stage uses olive oil to sauté chopped onions until translucent and adds the seasoned potatoes, cooking until they develop a golden crust and finish cooking through. The final step incorporates prosciutto or bacon, adding rich smoky and savory notes that elevate the dish.

Pan Fried Potatoes pair well with a variety of main courses or can be enjoyed as a hearty breakfast side. The combination of crisp edges and tender centers makes the texture pleasing and versatile. This dish is suited for cooks looking to enhance basic potatoes with spices, aromatics, and cured meat for depth of flavor.
