Panda Express Beef and Broccoli

Panda Express Beef and Broccoli combines tender strips of flank steak with steamed broccoli florets, cooked together in a glossy, flavorful sauce made from oyster sauce, soy, and hoisin. The beef is dusted with cornstarch before cooking, which helps to achieve a slight crispness while maintaining juiciness. The addition of garlic, ginger, and chili flakes adds depth and a gentle spicy note to the dish, making it a balanced stir-fry suitable for serving over rice or noodles.

Description

Panda Express Beef and Broccoli features thinly sliced flank steak lightly coated with cornstarch, enhancing the searing process to create a tender, slightly crisp texture. The broccoli is steamed briefly before returning to the pan, preserving its bright color and crunch. The sauce combines oyster sauce, soy sauce, hoisin, and rice wine, rounded out with spices like black pepper and red pepper flakes to offer a savory and mildly spicy flavor profile. Garlic and ginger are stirred in toward the end to infuse the stir-fry with aromatic freshness. This cooking method brings together crisp vegetables and succulent beef in a well-balanced, saucy dish.

It can be served simply with steamed rice or noodles, allowing the sauce to complement a variety of bases. The recipe's mixture of textures and flavors makes it a satisfying entrée for a home-cooked meal.
