Panera Strawberry Poppyseed Salad
Description
The Panera Strawberry Poppyseed Salad features boneless chicken breasts marinated in balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper, then grilled and sliced. This provides a tender, flavorful protein topping the bright leafy greens composed of chopped romaine hearts and fresh spinach. The inclusion of pineapple chunks, sliced strawberries, blueberries, drained mandarin oranges, and toasted chopped pecans adds a mix of textures and natural sweetness.
A creamy dressing made with mayonnaise, honey, apple cider vinegar, milk, salt, and poppy seeds brings a balanced tang and subtle sweetness to the salad. The ingredients are tossed together and topped with grilled chicken, additional pecans, poppy seeds, and the dressing just before serving to preserve freshness and crispness.
This salad works well as an entrée or hearty side, offering a mix of fruit, nutty crunch, and protein. It is best served immediately after assembly to enjoy the contrasts of textures and flavors.
