Parmesan Oven-Roasted Cauliflower
Description
The Parmesan Oven-Roasted Cauliflower recipe uses a whole cauliflower head cut into florets, tossed with olive oil and a distinctive mix of garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Roasting at 400ºF brings out the cauliflower's tender texture while allowing the edges to crisp slightly. Adding grated Parmesan halfway through baking melts the cheese, forming a subtle crust that enhances the flavor and texture. A fresh parsley garnish adds a hint of herbal brightness to finish.
This roasted cauliflower serves well as a side dish to a range of meals, offering a flavorful vegetable option with a pleasant blend of smoky and cheesy tastes. The baking method uses simple seasoning and olive oil to keep the focus on the vegetable’s natural qualities.
To keep this recipe vegan, dairy-free Parmesan alternatives or skipping the cheese entirely works well. The cauliflower can be cut bite-sized for easier eating. If preferred, baking instead of roasting will also cook the cauliflower thoroughly. Garlic powder is recommended over fresh garlic to avoid burning during roasting, and other oils can be used if olive oil is unavailable. Baking longer can increase crispiness if desired.
