Party Shrimp Recipe

This party shrimp recipe features garlic butter baked shrimp seasoned with garlic, black pepper, salt, and lemon slices, paired with a flavorful garlic lemon mayonnaise dipping sauce. Broiling the shrimp briefly creates tender, juicy seafood enhanced by fresh lemon and parsley garnish, making it suitable for appetizers or casual gatherings.

Description

The Party Shrimp Recipe combines tail-on shrimp tossed in oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper, which are then broiled at the top rack of the oven for 5 minutes until just cooked. Lemon slices placed on the baking sheet add bright citrus notes, which are squeezed over the hot shrimp immediately after broiling along with dollops of melting butter to enrich the flavor. The shrimp are garnished with fresh parsley and a little extra black pepper for a nice finish.

Accompanying the shrimp is a garlic lemon mayonnaise made by mixing mayonnaise with lemon zest, lemon juice, minced chive, finely minced garlic, and a pinch of sea salt. This creamy sauce enhances the shrimp’s buttery garlic flavor and adds a refreshing tang.

The recipe allows preparation ahead by marinating the shrimp and lemon slices together on a baking sheet covered in the fridge, while the mayo can be made in advance and refrigerated covered until serving. This makes it convenient to assemble and serve quickly for parties.
