Peach Pie Cottage Cheese Bowls

Peach Pie Cottage Cheese Bowls combine ripe, diced peaches cooked with brown sugar and cinnamon served over creamy cottage cheese. The peaches are lightly sautéed to soften and sweeten them, creating a warm contrast to the cool cottage cheese topped with crunchy pistachios. A drizzle of honey adds extra sweetness if desired, making it a fresh, satisfying snack or light meal option.

Description

This recipe starts by cooking peeled, pitted, and diced peaches with brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a lightly oiled skillet. The cooking softens the peaches and creates a gentle syrup. After cooling slightly, the peaches are spooned over bowls of cottage cheese, bringing together sweet, tart, and creamy flavors.

The texture contrasts between the warm, soft peaches and cool, dense cottage cheese, while the chopped pistachios add crunch and a nutty element. The cinnamon and brown sugar complement the fruit's natural sweetness and add warmth reminiscent of peach pie.

This dish works well as a nutritious breakfast, snack, or dessert. Adjust the honey to your preferred sweetness level or omit it for a lighter taste. Using a good quality cottage cheese enhances the dish's creamy texture, and the fresh peaches provide seasonality.
