Peach Salsa Recipe
Description
Peach Salsa Recipe showcases a fresh mix of diced tomatoes, bell pepper, jalapeños, and onion paired with a generous amount of diced peaches to provide sweetness and juicy texture. The salsa is seasoned with chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to enhance brightness and balance the sweetness with acidity and a touch of heat from the jalapeños.
The salsa is prepared by mixing all freshly chopped ingredients in a bowl, folding gently to combine without breaking the fruit. The peach pieces are diced larger to remain noticeable and maintain a pleasant texture within the salsa. There is no peeling of peaches required as the skin adds color and is not detectable in texture.
This fresh salsa can be served immediately as a topping for grilled meats, tacos, or chips, providing a refreshing contrast to savory dishes. Adjust seasoning to taste as needed after mixing.
Ingredients
- 1 lb tomato diced
- 1 bell pepper 4 oz, seeded and finely diced
- 2 jalapeños seeded and finely diced
- 1 onion finely diced, medium
- 1 1/2 lbs peaches diced
- 1/2 cilantro chopped, bunch
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper freshly ground, or to taste
Instructions
- Chop tomatoes and transfer them to a large bowl.
- Finely chop seeded bell pepper and jalapeños. Finely chop onion and transfer all your veggies to the bowl.
- Dice the peaches. I liked the slightly larger dice for peaches to give them more of the center stage in this salsa. No need to peel them. You won't notice the peels and the color is prettier with the peel on. Transfer peaches to your bowl.
- Add 1/2 bunch chopped cilantro, 2 Tbsp lime juice, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper. Add more salt and pepper to taste if desired. Fold everything together until well mixed and enjoy!
