Peanut Butter Dog Treat Macarons Recipe

These Peanut Butter Dog Treat Macarons are soft dog cookies made by mixing flour, baking powder, peanut butter, egg, honey, and milk into a dough that is rolled and cut into rounds. Baked briefly, they cool into sandwich cookies filled with additional peanut butter, offering a homemade treat for dogs.

Description

This recipe combines basic baking ingredients with creamy peanut butter and honey to create small, soft cookies suitable as dog treats. The dough is mixed until soft, patted out to a shallow rectangle, and cut into shapes with a cookie cutter. Baking at 350°F for 10-15 minutes yields gentle cookies without browning too much.

After cooling on a wire rack, two cookies are sandwiched together with peanut butter, making a treat dogs can enjoy. The recipe avoids harmful ingredients and sticks to safe components for canine consumption.

These treats can be stored in an airtight container or plastic bag in the refrigerator to maintain freshness. They serve as a fun homemade snack for dogs.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter creamy
  • 1 egg large
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • peanut butter additional, for sandwiching

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In the bowl of your stand mixer (or another large bowl if mixing by hand), add flour, baking powder, peanut butter, egg, honey, and milk. Beat until ingredients are well combined and a soft dough forms.
  3. Give the surface you are going to pat the dough out on a light dusting of flour. Pat the dough out into a rectangle 1/2" deep.
  4. Use a small cookie cutter (I used this one) to cut out circles of dough.
  5. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool.
  7. When ready to give to your dog, put some peanut butter in between two cookies.
  8. To store, place cookies in an airtight container or Ziploc bag and keep in fridge.
