Peanut Butter Frosting
Description
The Frosting recipe combines softened unsalted butter and creamy peanut butter, beaten to a uniform mixture. Gradual addition of powdered sugar alternates with small amounts of milk to achieve a light, fluffy consistency. The process creates a sweet and creamy frosting with a distinct peanut butter taste that is smooth enough to spread or pipe on desserts.
It avoids using natural peanut butter to maintain the desired consistency and flavor. The frosting is suitable for decorating various baked goods, providing a balance of sweetness and peanut richness without graininess or separation.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups butter softened, unsalted
- 1 1/2 cups peanut butter creamy
- 6 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup milk whole
Instructions
- To your stand mixer add the butter and peanut butter and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until fully combined.
- Lower the speed to low and add in the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time, alternating with 2 tablespoons of milk (starting and ending with sugar) until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Notes
- Do not use natural peanut butter as it may affect the texture and consistency of the frosting.
- Clickable times in the instructions allow you to start a kitchen timer for precise timing while making frosting.
