Delicious easy pecan pie bars loaded with classic pecan pie flavor over a from-scratch cookie base!

Ingredients
- ½ cup salted butter softened
- ½ cup white granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 ½ cups Crushed pecans
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, prepare the shortbread crust. Use an electric hand mixer to combine the butter, granulated sugar, and flour until the butter is reduced to pea sized pieces.
- Press the crust into a 9x13 inch glass baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
- While the crust is baking, whisk together the brown sugar, molasses, crushed pecans, eggs, and vanilla until homogenous.
- Remove the shortbread crust from the oven and pour the pecan mixture into the pan. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
- Allow the bars to cool on the counter for an hour before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
