Ingredients
- 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and grease an 8X5 inch loaf cake pan.
- Add the cornmeal, flour, sugar, and baking powder to a bowl and whisk together.
- In a separate bowl stir together milk, butter, and egg.
- Pour the milk mixture into the flour and stir until the dry ingredients are moistened.
- Fill the loaf cake pan with the cornbread batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
