Pepper Jelly Goat Cheese Dip Recipe

This Pepper Jelly Goat Cheese Dip mixes creamy goat cheese and cream cheese with honey, garlic, and fine sea salt for a smooth, tangy base. Topped with sweet and slightly spicy pepper jelly, then briefly baked to warm through without separating, it’s garnished with fresh scallions. It’s ideal served with cucumber slices or crostini for a balanced appetizer.

Description

The recipe combines room-temperature goat cheese and cream cheese blended with honey, garlic, and sea salt until smooth and creamy. The mixture is spread in a baking dish, layered with pepper jelly, and baked briefly at 350°F just to warm and meld the flavors without causing the cheeses to separate or become grainy.

The topping of sweet pepper jelly adds a fruity heat that contrasts nicely with the creamy, tangy cheeses. Fresh scallions sprinkled on top add a mild onion bite and color. Serving it alongside crunchy cucumber slices or toasted crostini provides textural contrast and freshness.

This dip offers a rich yet balanced profile suitable for gatherings and appetizers that don't require complicated preparation but bring a harmonious blend of creamy, sweet, spicy, and fresh notes.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 16 ounces goat cheese room temperature, creamy
  • 4 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt fine sea salt
  • 4 cloves garlic minced or pressed
  • 6 ounces pepper jelly
  • 1/4 cup scallions chopped, whites and greens, divided
  • cucumber for serving, or crostini, slices

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachments, blend goat cheese, cream cheese, honey, fine sea salt and garlic until smooth and creamy.
  3. Spread evenly in a baking dish or 8-inch pie plate coated with cooking spray. Top with pepper jelly.
  4. Bake goat cheese dip for 5 minutes, remove and top with scallions. The key here is to warm it up, but not too much as goat cheese can separate and become grainy if it is heated too much.
  5. Remove from the oven and serve with crostini and cucumber slices.
