Description
Perfect Ribeye Steaks require bringing the meat to room temperature before seasoning with olive oil and steak seasoning or salt and pepper. Alternatively, pan-searing in a hot cast iron for 2 minutes per side followed by roasting in a 400°F oven for 11-14 minutes achieves similar results.
The resting period with a pat of butter under loosely tented foil lets juices redistribute, preserving moisture and enhancing flavor. This technique ensures a tender, juicy steak with a brown crust exterior and pink interior. Timing should be adjusted slightly based on steak thickness.
The instructions note removing the steak from heat a few degrees before final temperature, as it continues to climb while resting. Ingredients
- 2 ribeye steak 1-inch thick, plural

Instructions
- Remove steaks from the fridge at least 45 minutes before cooking.

- Prepare steaks as above and grill 5-6 minutes per side for medium-rare or 6-7 minutes per side for medium.
- Remove from the grill and top with a pat of butter, loosely tent with foil. Rest steaks 5-10 minutes before serving.
