Peri Peri Fries

Report
Peri Peri Fries are crispy frozen French fries coated with peri peri seasoning for a spicy, flavorful snack or side dish. Cooking frozen fries in an air fryer helps achieve a crisp texture without extra oil. The seasoning evenly coats the hot fries, delivering a zesty kick with each bite.

Description

To prepare Peri Peri Fries, frozen fries are cooked according to package instructions, preferably in an air fryer to optimize crispness and speed. Once cooked, the fries are placed in a bowl and generously coated with peri peri seasoning, then tossed thoroughly to ensure every fry is flavorful. This method highlights the spicy and smoky notes of peri peri seasoning paired with the crisp and fluffy texture of the fries.

This snack or side dish works great alongside grilled meats, burgers, or as a spicy finger food on its own. Using frozen fries reduces preparation time and maintains consistent fry quality. No additional oil is required, allowing the seasoning to stand out prominently on the fries’ surface.

Serving immediately keeps the fries warm and crispy, enhancing the eating experience.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 250 g frozen French fries
  • 2 tablespoon peri peri seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook 250 g Frozen chips according to the packet instructions. We cooked ours in an air fryer to make it quicker and we think it gives the best results.
  2. Put the cooked chips into a large bowl and sprinkle over 2 tablespoon Peri peri seasoning. Toss to coat the chips and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Toss fries thoroughly to coat every piece evenly in peri peri seasoning.
  • Use a warm bowl to keep fries hot while seasoning for better flavor adherence.
  • No extra oil is needed when using frozen fries for seasoning adherence.
  • Try substituting sweet potato fries for a variation on the classic flavor.
