Philly Cheesesteak Frito Pie is a fun twist on the southern dish, Frito Chili Pie. Ground beef, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms are cooked together and served over Fritos, topped with a creamy provolone sauce for one easy and epic recipe!

Ingredients
Philly Cheesesteak Frito Pie
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups green bell pepper diced
- 1 cup onion diced
- 1 cup portobello mushrooms diced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 9.75 oz bag Fritos corn chips
Provolone Cheese Sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz Provolone cheese grated
- 4 oz cream cheese cubed
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions
- Add the butter to a large skillet on the stove over medium heat.
- Once melted, add the bell pepper, onion and mushrooms, cook 4-5 minutes, then and the ground beef, salt and pepper, cook 5-7 minutes or until the beef is cooked through.
- In a separate saucepan on the stove over medium heat, add all of the ingredients for the provolone cheese sauce.
- Stir continuously until the cheese is melted into a thick sauce.
- Divide the Fritos between four plates, top the fritos with the philly cheesesteak ground beef mixture, then spoon the provolone cheese sauce on top.
