Pineapple BBQ Baked Chicken Breast Recipe

This baked chicken breast recipe combines tender chicken with diced pineapple, crispy bacon, and a barbecue sauce blend sweetened with brown sugar and spiked with hot sauce. The ingredients bake together, allowing the flavors to meld and produce a sweet, smoky, and slightly spicy main dish with pineapple’s bright notes balancing the richness of bacon and barbecue sauce.

Description

The Pineapple BBQ Baked Chicken Breast recipe layers lightly pounded chicken breasts season with salt and pepper in a baking dish coated with a thin layer of barbecue sauce mixed with brown sugar and hot sauce. Crispy bacon pieces and diced pineapple chunks are spread around and on top of the chicken, then the remaining barbecue sauce is poured over everything before baking.

Baking uncovered for 25-30 minutes melds the smoky, sweet, and slightly spicy barbecue flavors with the savory bacon and juicy pineapple, tenderizing the chicken and delivering a balanced dish with a tropical twist. The combination creates a tender, flavorful protein with contrasting textures and sweet-savory taste.

This chicken works well as a main course with sides like rice, vegetables, or salad. The recipe is straightforward and does not require marinating, making it practical for a flavorful home-cooked meal.
