Pineapple caipirinha

The Pineapple Caipirinha is a Brazilian cocktail featuring cachaça infused with fresh pineapple for a fruit-enhanced spirit. Fresh lime, pineapple, sugar, and crushed ice combine with the infused cachaça for a refreshing, balanced drink that blends citrus tartness and tropical sweetness. The preparation includes muddling lime and sugar, stirring in crushed pineapple and the infused spirit, then serving over crushed ice, garnished with lime and pineapple slices for a vibrant presentation.

Description

The Pineapple Caipirinha starts by infusing cachaça, a Brazilian sugarcane spirit, with peeled and sliced pineapple for several days to develop tropical fruit notes. To prepare the cocktail, fresh lime pieces are muddled with sugar to release their juices and oils, creating a tart and sweet base. Crushed pineapple is added for additional texture and flavor, then mixed with the infused cachaça. The mixture is served immediately over crushed ice, which chills and dilutes the drink slightly, balancing the flavors. Garnishes of lime and pineapple slices add a fresh appearance and a hint of extra aroma. This cocktail offers a tropical twist on the classic caipirinha, combining refreshing acidity with fruity sweetness for a vibrant and lively beverage.
