Pineapple Cheese Balls

This Pineapple Cheese Balls recipe blends softened cream cheese with seasoning salt, red bell peppers, green onions, and drained crushed pineapple. The mixture is shaped into one or two balls, rolled in chopped pecans, and chilled to firm up. The finished cheese balls offer a creamy, slightly sweet and savory appetizer that pairs well with crackers or vegetables.

Description

Pineapple Cheese Balls combine the tang and richness of cream cheese with finely chopped red bell peppers and green onions for subtle crunch and flavor contrast. The addition of crushed pineapple introduces a sweet and juicy accent that balances the savory elements. Chopped pecans on the outside add texture and a nutty note, enhancing the overall mouthfeel.

The balls are refrigerated to allow the flavors to meld and to firm the shape for easy serving. They can be enjoyed as a snack or as an appetizer with crackers and fresh vegetables for dipping.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 ounce packages cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green onions chopped
  • 1 ounce can pineapple completely drained, crushed
  • 1 cup pecans chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine cream cheese, salt, chopped bell pepper, chopped green onions and crushed pineapple in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Make one large cheese ball out of mix (or you can divide in two and make two smaller ones). Roll in chopped pecans and chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours. If mix is too runny, refrigerate before forming into a ball.
