Pineapple Ham Loaf Recipe
Description
The Pineapple Ham Loaf recipe blends precooked ground ham with ground pork, eggs, mustard, ketchup, chopped onion, graham cracker crumbs, and milk to hold the mixture together with a subtle tang and texture. The addition of paprika on top adds a mild smoky flavor and color during baking. Baking at 350°F creates a stable loaf with a moist interior and slightly glazed exterior.
The glaze is prepared separately by boiling a mixture of light brown sugar, white vinegar, yellow mustard, and crushed pineapple until slightly thickened. This glaze is spread on the loaf to add a sweet and tangy finish that complements the savory meat and spices.
This dish slices well for serving at family dinners or potlucks and pairs nicely with simple sides. The balance of seasonings, texture from the crackers, and glazing give a distinctive yet approachable flavor profile.
Notes indicate the milk amount affects loaf cohesion and calories depend on ingredient brands. Store leftovers in an airtight container refrigerated and consume within several days for best quality.
