Pink Jello Shots

Report
Pink Jello Shots are a playful, boozy treat made from rosé wine, vodka, raspberry gelatin, and unflavored gelatin, sweetened with cane sugar. The gelatin mixture is gently heated to dissolve ingredients, then poured into heart-shaped molds to set in the refrigerator. Once solidified, they can be removed easily and served chilled. These gelatin-based shots offer a fun texture that's firm yet tender, with a fruity and lightly alcoholic flavor. They make for a creative party garnish or a sweet adult snack option.

Description

Pink Jello Shots combine rosé wine and vodka with raspberry and unflavored gelatin to create a firm yet delicate sweet treat. The recipe involves gently heating the alcohol and gelatin mixture until it thickens enough before pouring it into silicone molds to set in the fridge. This method ensures the gelatin dissolves properly while preserving the alcohol content. The finished jello shots have a soft, slightly chewy texture and balance the crisp fruitiness of rosé with a hint of warmth from the vodka.

The use of heart-shaped molds adds visual appeal and makes portioning easy. These shots can be served chilled on their own or as a garnish floating in a glass of bubbly rosé for an added touch.

Storage involves keeping the jello shots refrigerated and consuming them within five days for optimal texture and flavor. To increase alcohol content, additional gelatin should be added to maintain the desired firmness, preventing the shots from becoming too soft.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 cup rosé wine
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 14 grams raspberry gelatin 1 packet
  • 7 grams gelatin 1 packet, unflavored
  • 2 tablespoons cane sugar

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place your heart silicone molds on top.
  2. Heat a saucepan on the stove over low heat. Pour rosé and vodka into the saucepan. Whisk together.
  3. Continue to whisk. Sprinkle in the gelatin and sugar. You'll see the liquid start to thicken and bubble. Remove from heat. Continue to whisk for another minute or two.
  4. Transfer the liquid from the sauce pot to a measuring cup with a pouring spout. Pour equal amounts of the mixture into the heart molds. Use a rubber spatula to top them off if needed.
  5. Place the baking sheet with the filled molds in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until the boozy fruit snacks solidify. You should be able to remove the gummies from the mold easily without damaging them. I like to do this by popping them out from the back of the mold with my fingers.
  6. Enjoy responsibly! I serve mine in a glass of bubbly rosé as a garnish or two. So delicious!
