Description

  • 2 cups pizza sauce sugar free
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • ½ cup Italian sausage meat
  • ½ cup salami slices

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage and mushrooms until brown.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°
  3. Put ¼ cup pizza sauce into each of four oven safe bowls
  4. Divide the sausage and mushroom mixture between the four bowls.
  5. Top each bowl with ¼ cup of cheese
  6. Spread the remaining sauce over each bowl
  7. Spread the salami slices over the sauce
  8. Top each bowl with the remainder of the cheese
  9. Bake until the cheese melts and begins to turn slightly golden brown, about 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Use oven-safe bowls or ramekins and place them on a rimmed baking sheet to catch any bubbling sauce during baking.
  • Pizza Bowls can be made ahead, assembled, covered, and refrigerated until ready to bake.
  • For quicker cooking, these can be microwaved in a microwave-safe bowl for about 5 minutes, though oven baking creates better texture.
  • Be cautious handling bowls right out of the oven as they will be hot; allow them to cool briefly before serving.
