Pizza Toast

Quick and easy pizza toast is a simple lunch, dinner or snack that kids love!

Ingredients

  • 6 lices sandwich bread soft
  • 6 Tablespoons pizza sauce prepared
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 5 ounces mini pepperonis (1 package)
  • basil optional, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and space the bread slices out on it.
  3. Bake the bread slices for 5 minutes until just starting to toast.
  4. Remove toasted bread from the oven and spread each slice with 1 Tablespoon pizza sauce, then sprinkle with ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese and top with about 16 mini pepperonis. Sprinkle with chopped basil if desired.
  5. Return the toast to the oven for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool a couple minutes before serving.
