Pomegranate Mulled Cider

Pomegranate Mulled Cider blends apple cider and pure pomegranate juice with a warming mix of aromatic spices including cinnamon, star anise, cardamom, clove, and peppercorns. Simmering these ingredients together extracts their warm, spicy, and fruity flavors into the cider for a comforting, fragrant beverage suited for cooler weather. Straining the mixture before serving removes the whole spices, leaving a smooth, spiced cider.

Description

This mulled cider combines 128 ounces of apple cider with 16 ounces of pure pomegranate juice, enhanced by fresh rosemary sprigs and a selection of whole spices such as cinnamon stick, star anise, crushed green cardamom pods, whole cloves, white and black peppercorns. The mixture is brought to a gentle simmer and then steeped for at least an hour, allowing the spices and herbs to infuse the cider and juice with rich, warming notes and a subtle tartness from the pomegranate.

The result is a cozy, fragrant beverage with layers of spice balanced by the natural sweetness and fruitiness of the juices. After steeping, straining the cider removes the solid spices and rosemary, resulting in a clear, aromatic drink.

This mulled cider is ideal for chilly days or gatherings, served warm as a soothing, spiced drink to enjoy slowly. The fresh rosemary adds a mild herbal aroma that complements the deeper, spiced character of the cider.
