Poop Chocolates

Poop Chocolates are simple homemade chocolates made by melting dairy-free chocolate chips combined with melted coconut oil. The mixture is poured into molds or spread out to create bark before chilling until firm. These chocolates have a creamy texture and mild coconut notes, and need refrigeration to maintain shape due to their coconut oil content.

Description

These chocolates are made by combining dairy-free chocolate chips with melted extra virgin coconut oil. The gentle melting process can be done over a double boiler or in short bursts in a microwave to prevent burning. Once melted and fully combined, the chocolate mixture is poured into silicone molds, ice cube trays, or spread on a baking sheet to set into bark.

The key texture comes from the coconut oil, which keeps the chocolate smooth but causes it to soften quickly at room temperature. Therefore, these chocolates should be stored in the refrigerator to keep them firm and easy to handle. They also freeze well if you want to keep them longer or have them extra firm.

This recipe uses only two ingredients and is suitable as a dairy-free treat or base for adding other mix-ins if desired.
