Poppyseed Spinach Fruit Salad Recipe
Description
The Poppyseed Spinach Fruit Salad combines tender baby spinach with an assortment of fresh fruits such as sliced strawberries, mixed grapes, blueberries, blackberries, and peeled orange slices. The inclusion of sliced almonds adds mild crunch, while hemp hearts provide additional texture and nutrition if desired.
The citrus-based dressing blends extra-virgin olive oil with freshly squeezed orange, lime, and lemon juices, sweetened gently with honey, and seasoned with Celtic sea salt and poppy seeds. Whisking these ingredients together creates a tangy, slightly sweet dressing that enhances the natural flavors of the fruit and greens.
The salad is tossed lightly in the dressing just before serving, preserving the freshness and crispness of the ingredients. This dish works well as a light, refreshing side or a healthy addition to a variety of meals.
