Pork Chop Marinade

This Pork Chop Marinade combines olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful mixture that tenderizes and seasons pork. Marinating pork chops or other pork cuts in this mixture enhances the meat's taste and juiciness. The marinade is versatile and can be used ahead of time for convenience.

Description

The Pork Chop Marinade provides a balance of acidity, sweetness, and savory spices to infuse pork cuts with bright and deep flavors. Ingredients like lemon juice and balsamic vinegar add acidity to tenderize while brown sugar offers sweetness that caramelizes during cooking. Soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce contribute umami depth, along with Italian seasoning and Dijon mustard for herbal and tangy notes. Garlic adds pungency and character. Combining these into a liquid marinade ensures pork absorbs a complex flavor profile when soaked for at least an hour.

Marinated pork chops or other cuts like pork loin and tenderloin can then be cooked by grilling, baking, or pan-searing, benefiting from the marinade’s seasoning and juiciness. The marinade can be prepared up to three days ahead and stored refrigerated, allowing flexibility in meal planning. This makes it convenient for cooks to add flavor to various pork cuts with the same well-balanced marinade.
