Potato Bacon Soup Recipe

Potato Bacon Soup is a creamy and hearty blend featuring hash brown potatoes cooked with cream-based soups, enriched with cheddar cheese and crispy bacon pieces. The combination yields a rich, smooth texture with smoky bacon flavor integrated into the creamy potato base. This comforting soup is suitable for filling lunches or cozy dinners.

Description

The recipe begins by baking bacon slices in the oven until crispy and chopping them into pieces. Butter is melted in a large pot, and frozen cubed hash browns, two cans of cream of chicken soup, one can of cream of celery soup, half and half, and milk are added and cooked together until the potatoes become tender.

Cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper, and the reserved bacon pieces are stirred in to create a creamy and flavorful soup with savory, smoky notes from the bacon and the cheese. The texture is thickened by the creamy soups and cheese, complementing the soft potato chunks.

This soup can be served as a substantial starter or main dish, particularly suited to cold weather or when a comforting meal is desired.
