Pressed Pepperoni Pizza Party Rolls

Pressed Pepperoni Pizza Party Rolls transform soft Hawaiian bread rolls into small pizza sandwiches layered with mayonnaise, pepperoni, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Brushed with seasoned melted butter and baked under a press, the rolls heat evenly, melting the cheese and crisping the exterior for a handheld savory treat with pizza flavors.

Description

This recipe uses split Hawaiian bread rolls kept attached in one pan for easy assembly and baking. Mayonnaise spreads on the bottom halves, followed by layers of sliced pepperoni and shredded mozzarella. The top halves close the sandwich layers.

Melted butter combined with Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper is brushed over the tops, adding flavor and promoting browning. Pressing the rolls down with a weighted item during baking compacts the layers and helps the cheese melt uniformly. Baking at 350°F first covered then uncovered crisps the exterior slightly.

Once baked and slightly cooled, the large sandwich block is cut into 16 small rolls suitable for parties or casual snacking. They pair well with marinara sauce for dipping, bringing pizza-inspired flavors in a convenient form.
