Pressure Cooker Turkey Breast
Description
The Pressure Cooker Turkey Breast recipe features a whole bone-in, skin-on turkey breast seasoned generously with butter, Italian seasoning, salt, and freshly cracked pepper. Optional aromatics such as onion, garlic cloves, thyme sprigs, and citrus slices can be placed inside the turkey cavity to infuse additional aroma and taste during cooking. The turkey is lowered into the pressure cooker with chicken broth at the bottom to create steam and moisture throughout the process.
As the turkey cooks under high pressure for 35 minutes, it becomes tender yet remains juicy due to the butter rubbed underneath the skin. The residual heat when resting under foil after cooking further helps retain its flavor and ensures even juiciness. This method offers a reliable approach to preparing turkey breast without needing long oven times or constant monitoring.
The finished turkey breast can be sliced and served as the main protein for a meal. It pairs well with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad. It is suitable for smaller gatherings or whenever you want turkey without the complexity of carving a whole bird.
