Protein Bars
Description
The protein bars are made by mixing all ingredients thoroughly until moist and compact enough to press firmly into an 8x8 inch pan. After chilling in the refrigerator for at least an hour, the bars set into a chewy texture combining nutty, fruity, and chocolatey elements from peanut butter, dried fruits, and chocolate chips.
The bars offer a balanced mix of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, making them functional for energy and recovery needs. Storage in the fridge keeps them fresh for up to two weeks, maintaining their texture and flavor.
For freezing, layer the bars with parchment paper between them in a freezer-safe container to preserve quality for up to three months; thaw before eating. Variations in protein powder type and nut butter allow customization to dietary preferences or ingredient availability.
