Pulled Pork Lumpia

Pulled Pork Lumpia are crisp, fried Filipino-style spring rolls filled with a mixture of pulled pork, coleslaw, and a drizzle of Sriracha aioli for a spicy, creamy kick. Using lumpia wrappers, the rolls are tightly wrapped, fried to a golden crisp, and served warm. The contrast between the crunchy exterior and the savory, slightly sweet and tangy filling makes them an appealing snack or appetizer for gatherings.

Description

This Pulled Pork Lumpia features tender pulled pork combined with crunchy coleslaw and a bit of spicy Sriracha aioli wrapped in thin lumpia wrappers. The filling’s mix of textures and flavors is encased in a crispy fried shell, adding a crunchy contrast to the juicy interior. Frying at 350 degrees ensures the exterior becomes golden and crispy without absorbing excess oil.

The Sriracha aioli adds a creamy heat that complements the smoky pork and the freshness of the coleslaw. Cutting the lumpia in half lengthwise before frying helps maintain even cooking and easy serving portions.

Serve these lumpia warm with sweet Thai chili sauce, extra Sriracha, or your choice of dipping sauces. They make a flavorful appetizer or party snack with satisfying textures and balanced flavors.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 package lumpia wrapper
  • 1 pound pork pulled
  • 2 Cups coleslaw
  • Sriracha aioli
  • neutral cooking oil for frying, generic cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Place a lumpia wrapper on a cutting board, keeping the remaining lumpia wrappers covered with a damp cloth to keep from drying out.
  2. Place 2-3 tablespoons of coleslaw and pulled pork along the bottom edge of the wrapper. Add a drizzle of the Sriracha Aioli.
  3. Tightly roll the lumpia then cut in half lengthwise. Place on a tray and cover with a damp cloth or paper towel while you form the remaining lumpia.
  4. Heat a neutral cooking oil in a fryer or heavy bottomed pan to 350 degrees. In batches, fry the lumpia for about 3-5 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove to a paper towel lined dish while you fry the remaining lumpia.
  6. Serve warm with sweet Thai chili sauce, Sriracha, or remaining Sriracha aioli.
