Instructions
The Sliders
- If you're making the pulled pork, do that first. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt the butter in a small bowl in your microwave (or in a pan on the stove) and then stir in the bagel seasoning.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the rolls in half so that you have two large pieces.
- Place the bun bottoms in a 9x11-inch baking dish. Spread the mayo on both sides of the rolls and then top with 3 cups of pulled pork and the coleslaw.
- Put the bun tops on and then brush the tops with the butter. Cover with foil and bake for 5 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 5 minutes more. Slice into individual slider sandwiches and serve right away.
The Pulled Pork
- Start by mixing the spice rub ingredients together in a small bowl. Remove the butcher twine from the pork and then cover it with the spices, working it into all the nooks and crannies.
- Place the pork in a slow cooker and add any remaining spices. Pour the BBQ sauce and broth into the slow cooker, cover with the lid, and turn the slow cooker on high for 5-6 hours or low for 8-10 hours.
- Remove the pork from the pot and pour the juices into a medium-sized pot. Bring the pot to a boil over high heat and continue to boil until the juices reduce to the thickness of BBQ sauce.
- Shred the pork using two forks and then put it in the pot with the reduced sauce. Mix it around and then serve!
Notes
- Note 1: The time to make this recipe does include the time to make the pork.
- Note 2: We like a very saucy amount of mayo on these sliders. Feel free to use less if you'd prefer!
- Note 3: We make a simple coleslaw with thinly sliced purple and green cabbage and grated carrot tossed in a little olive oil. You can buy bagged coleslaw if you'd like, or use one of our many coleslaw recipes.
